Bụrụ onye na -ese etemeete na Vladivostok

The beauty industry in Vladivostok is developing rapidly. Increasingly, city dwellers turn to makeup artists and other professionals in this area, not only, as they say, “on a special occasion” like a wedding or birthday, but also to be beautiful at a Friday party, and at a Saturday photo session and at work. meeting on Monday. Woman’s day talked to Olga Loy, a professional makeup artist, about beauty, crisis and satisfied clients.

When I was still in school, I went to a modeling school, and there was a wonderful make-up teacher. She painted us for photo shoots and I really liked her work. However, by chance, I managed to go to university, unlearn for 4 years, and only in the last year did I find a teacher and unlearn to be a make-up artist. After that, I immediately went to work. She worked in stores promoting various brands of cosmetics, which then practiced promotions with makeup as a gift. This work allowed me to fill my hand well, because many people had to paint a day.

After graduating from university, I flew to the USA for six months.… There I graduated from the school of make-up on the course “Visage and Glamor”, returned to Vladivostok. I was offered a job as a makeup artist in a chain of stores. I worked in this position for 4 years, gradually started teaching others – I left the store and started teaching makeup and working as a wedding makeup artist.

Now makeup artists are a dime a dozen, so the profession is in demand. There are few good professionals, but there is still competition. As my teacher used to say: each client has his own master.

Clients find me through social networks, which, as you know, bring me closer. Sometimes it comes to ridiculous – they call and say: “Ol, hello! I need makeup here at 5 pm, do you have time? ” As if we have known each other for a hundred years and she is my close friend.

Basically, when they come, clients know my work and understand what I can offer them. It rarely happens that someone starts to demand something out of the ordinary. Of course, you always want to live up to expectations when they come to you and say: “Oh, I saw, you worked such magic, do me the same.” But let’s be frank: for amazing results, there must be relevant data. First of all – good skin, because if a person takes care of himself, the skin is healthy and moisturized, it will not be difficult to create the right tone. And if there are any problematic points, then I always first of all suggest finding a good cosmetologist and fix these points. I, of course, in some sense a magician, but I cannot paint the face again.

For myself, I choose a standard natural make-up – I just don’t have time for more. Maximum 10 minutes in the morning to create a good tone, eyebrows, light correction and blush. I rarely even paint my eyes and eyelashes. For various events, I, of course, paint myself, often choose some interesting non-standard makeup for this. In general, I like to experiment and when I have free time, I create a new crazy version, post it on Instagram and clients then write: “You posted something new yesterday, do it to me the same way”.

My clients are, first of all, brides, yet I am a wedding makeup artist. Even now, a lot of girls go to make-up on Friday-Saturday, that is, for some kind of parties, birthdays, holidays, and so on. In general, Friday and Saturday are the most stressful days: in the morning I have brides, closer to dinner there are people who go to someone’s weddings, and then “evening party-goers”. Plus, there are people who have photo sessions on the weekend and need a professional make-up.

They talk a lot about the crisis, but you know, even in wartime, girls were looking for an opportunity to buy beautiful lipstick and put on makeup. I believe that beauty workers, not only makeup artists, but also hairdressers, beauticians, manicurists, etc., will never be left without clients, because girls always want to be beautiful, especially in difficult times. You always want to be paid attention to – both men and girls, so you can save on groceries, on entertainment, on another dress, but on cosmetics, a beautician, good makeup, especially if you are used to it, you will not save.

I am not a fan of any “must have” (from the English must have – “must have. – Approx. Woman’s Day), which are promoted in blogs – which must be in a cosmetic bag. Some girls, coming to my master classes, bring with them packs of such “must-haves” that they were advised on in various social networks. Most often, most of which they do not use. For me, “mastkhev” is a regular blush, a corrective blush, a tone and shadow for eyebrows and some kind of highlighter. All these tools should ideally suit you, and it is possible to understand whether a tool is right for you or not, only in practice, so no recommended “must-haves” will help you with this.

There are pleasant moments in the work. When a girl doesn’t make up much in her life, and you do her full-fledged makeup, and she says: “Oh, am I really that beautiful?” Or when they send you messages in the evening: “Ol, I can’t wash it off, it’s a pity to wash off such beauty, perhaps I’ll go to bed wearing makeup!”

There are clients who expect something from you, and this may not work out due to the original data, skin or facial features. Or a girl sees a picture, wants it too, and then looks at herself in the mirror and says that she does not feel herself in this image, it seems to her that it is not her, and so on. But in any case, I do not consider these to be any unpleasant situations, these are just working moments. I am a very open person, open to everything new, so I calmly react to emerging discontent.

Now, together with other creative people of the city, we will make a blog dedicated to beauty, style, and lifestyle. In this vein, there will be a link to make-up, interior, clothes … in general, such a holistic life style blog.

My main achievement is my studio. Previously, the culture of make-up was almost not developed, but now girls call almost every day and say: “I want makeup lessons for myself, I want to learn how to paint correctly.” Moreover, not only young people come, but also girls over 30 who realize that they need to learn, improve, that the ability to correctly make up is a necessary and useful skill. I am glad that the girls realize that you cannot make up yourself for important events, simply because it is elementary difficult for yourself to stick your eyelashes, to make a persistent but neat face correction.

In Vladivostok, the field of make-up is developing more and more intensively every year. 8-9 years ago there was nothing like this at all, then makeup was only for weddings, but now they turn to makeup artists before dates, parties, dinners in a restaurant, important meetings, etc. It is clear that this applies to those who can imagine it allow, but in any case, if a woman goes to some social event, then professional make-up is an obligatory part of preparing for the evening. Among my clients there are also business women who sign up a month before all the events that they have planned. Therefore, I can say with confidence that this area has a great future in our city.
