In 1953, scientists conducted a study among a group of Yale University graduates. Students were asked if they had clear plans for the future. Only 3% of the respondents had plans for the future in the form of records of goals, objectives and action plans. After 20 years, in 1973, it was these 3% of former graduates who became more successful and happy than the rest. Moreover, it is these 3% of people who have achieved greater financial well-being than the remaining 97% combined.
