Ngwaahịa Organic - ụdị ejiji ma ọ bụ nlekọta ahụike?

What do we see in Russia on the shelves of modern supermarkets? Colors, preservatives, flavor enhancers, trans fats, flavors. It is necessary to give up all these “goodies” for the sake of your own health. Many people understand this, but few really refuse.

As always, at the forefront of new trends, either due to fashion, or due to the fact that they really care about their appearance, as a national treasure, representatives of show business and sports. In the Russian beau monde, the words “organic products”, “bio products”, “healthy food” have been in the lexicon for more than a year.

One of the ardent supporters of a healthy lifestyle and natural nutrition, model and writer Lena Lenina. In interviews, she has repeatedly said that she prefers bio-products. Moreover, the secular diva announced her intention to create her own organic farm. And at the “Green Party” organized by Lenina in Moscow, the star specially brought together celebrities to support farmers and producers of organic products.

Another healthy lifestyle fan is a singer and actress Ana Semenovich. Anna writes a column on healthy eating in Led magazine and is an expert in this field. In one of the last columns, Anna talks about the benefits of bioproducts. The fact that they are grown without synthetic and chemical fertilizers, do not contain genetically modified components. A well-known columnist describes a curious fact about the use of nature’s energy by organ farmers. For example, a stone that is heated during the day is used as a natural heating pad for growing strawberries. Apparently, while studying organic farming technologies, Anna made her choice in favor of environmentally friendly products, so much so that she herself began to grow potatoes. Together with her father, she took up organic farming on a plot in the Moscow region, and already supplies environmentally friendly “Potato ot Annushka” to Moscow chain stores.

Great hockey player Igor Larionov, in whose personal piggy bank there are both Olympic medals and awards from world championships, is also an adherent of a healthy diet. The athlete is already 57 years old, looks great, takes care of himself. In an interview with Sovsport.ru, he admitted:

.

There are many more followers of organic nutrition in Europe and Hollywood. One of the most famous actress Gwyneth Paltrow. For herself and her family, she prepares food only from organic products, maintains a blog on the Internet dedicated to the “green” lifestyle.

Onye Nwunye Alicia silverstone also chose an organic lifestyle, eating only fruits and vegetables grown without chemicals and pesticides, and also launched her own line of organic cosmetics.

Julia Roberts grows organic products in his own garden and even has his own “green” consultant. Julia personally drives a tractor and cultivates a vegetable garden where she grows food for her children. The actress tries to live in an eco-style: she drives a biofuel car and is an ambassador for Earth Biofuels, which is developing renewable energy.

And the singer ọgbụgba several farms in Italy, where he grows not only organic vegetables and fruits, but even cereals. Its products in the form of organic jam are very popular among celebrities.

By the way, in the countries of the European Union and the United States, there are more and more followers of organic nutrition among ordinary citizens. For example, in Austria every fourth person in the country consumes organic products regularly.

Let’s define what products are considered organic?

Ecologically clean, grown without the use of chemicals and mineral fertilizers. Milk and meat can also be organic. This means that the animals were not fed antibiotics, growth stimulants and other hormonal drugs. The absence of pesticides in a vegetable is not yet proof of organic origin. Exhaustive evidence can only be obtained in the field. Organic carrots must be grown in organic soil that has not been exposed to a drop of chemicals for several years.

The benefits of products grown without chemistry, in which natural vitamins, minerals and fiber are preserved, are obvious. But so far, Russia occupies less than 1% of the world market of organic products.

To instill a culture of consumption of bioproducts in our country is hindered, at least, by a high price. According to the organic market, the cost of a liter of organic milk is 139 rubles, that is, twice or even three times more expensive than usual. BIO potato variety Kolobok – 189 rubles per two kilograms.

Organic products can be available to everyone, more than once with numbers in hand proved Director of the Institute of Organic Agriculture . But, a large-scale high-tech production is needed, then it will outperform traditional farming using pesticides, herbicides and insecticides, which, with a few exceptions, are imported, and therefore expensive.

The Institute of Organic Agriculture develops innovative technologies for organic agricultural production, which allow increasing soil fertility, productivity, and growing healthy products. At the same time, the cost of agricultural production will be lower than traditional.

For example, we use data from field trials in Kabardino-Balkaria:

With an average trade markup of 25% of the market, we get affordable vegetables and fruits, which are also environmentally friendly, healthy, and, importantly, tasty, and at the same time, both the farmer and the distribution network are not offended.

So far, intensive agriculture is the main trend in Russia. And it is difficult to expect that organics will completely replace traditional production. The goal of the coming years is that 10-15% of the agricultural sector should be occupied by bioproduction. It is necessary to popularize organics in Russia in several directions – to educate and inform agricultural producers about innovative methods of bioproduction, which is what the Institute of Organic Agriculture does. And also to actively tell the public about the benefits of organic products, thereby creating demand for these products, which means a sales market for producers.

It is necessary to instill in the population a culture of consumption of organic products – this is also a concern for the environment. After all, organic production without pesticides and other chemicals allows you to restore and heal the soil, and this is one of the main components of our biocenosis, an ecosystem in which a person coexists with the animal world, and the best principle of this hostel will be: “Do no harm!”.
